But for those who do get sanctioned, the consequences are devastating, and sometimes even deadly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bThe latest National Audit Office (NAO) report shows that the DWP has never carried out any analysis on sanctions\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 effectiveness, meaning the department never even wanted to find out if sanctions work \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they simply don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t care.
