{"id":11760,"date":"2017-03-09T16:12:37","date_gmt":"2017-03-09T16:12:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=11760"},"modified":"2017-03-10T13:51:54","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T13:51:54","slug":"pensions-betrayal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=11760","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Pensions\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 betrayal\u00e2\u20ac\u2122"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>BMW Group bosses were accused of \u00e2\u20ac\u0098penny pinching\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and seeking to rob car workers making the iconic Mini and Roll-Royce motorcars of their future pensions today (March 9), as the carmaker reported record sales and volumes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s figures from BMW, showing a surge in BMW Group\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s net profit of eight per cent to \u00e2\u201a\u00ac6.9bn, as well as record year for Mini sales and a six per cent rise in Roll-Royce sales, comes as members of Unite get ready to vote for industrial action.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ballot papers are expected to start arriving through the letterboxes of approximately 4,500 BMW workers in a dispute over plans to close their final salary pension scheme by May 31, 2017.
