{"id":12071,"date":"2017-04-10T15:15:46","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T14:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=12071"},"modified":"2017-04-10T15:15:46","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T14:15:46","slug":"more-fujitsu-strikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=12071","title":{"rendered":"More Fujitsu strikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Unite members working for the IT giant Fujitsu will strike for a further four days at sites across the UK in their long-running dispute over plans to axe one in five jobs and pension cuts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Workers at Basingstoke, Belfast, Birmingham, Bracknell, Crewe, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Stevenage, Wakefield and Warrington will strike for 24 hours from midnight on Thursday, April 13 and Monday, April 24<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a 48-hour strike starting at midnight on Thursday, April 20.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dispute centres on pay, pensions, job security and union recognition &#8211; and takes place against a background of Fujitsu\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s plans to axe and offshore 1,800 jobs in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fujitsu is highly profitable in the UK, making \u00c2\u014185.6 million profit in the last financial year.
