He added this approach was \u00e2\u20ac\u0098not sustainable\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just a few days later the company announced production of the iconic Blue Riband bar would be moving to Poland, while 300 UK jobs would be lost.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now 31 MPs have signed an Early Day Motion (EDM) calling on the government to intervene and work with MPs, trades unions Unite and GMB and the company to avert these job losses now and prevent further job losses across Nestl\u0102\u00a9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unite national officer for the food industry Julia Long said, \u00e2\u20ac\u015bMomentum is growing in the campaign to keep these Nestle jobs in the UK \u00e2\u20ac\u201c we should be exporting chocolate and not jobs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bThis latest development shows that it is not just the unions fighting for these vital UK manufacturing jobs, but prospective parliamentary candidates and the communities they represent as the general election campaign gathers pace.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bTheresa May\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s implication at prime minister\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s question time that those workers under threat should go the job centre for help is insulting when she should be exerting maximum pressure to keep these jobs in the UK.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eamon O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Hearn, GMB national officer, added, \u00e2\u20ac\u015bIf this isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t radical cost-cutting I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know what is.
