{"id":14540,"date":"2018-01-31T15:40:13","date_gmt":"2018-01-31T15:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=14540"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:59:10","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:59:10","slug":"3m-pay-strike-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=14540","title":{"rendered":"3M pay strike off"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Strike action due to begin next month at dust mask and respirator makers 3M, based in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham, has been called off after a vastly improved pay offer was accepted by the workforce.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The workers who are members of Unite were due to strike on Tuesday, February 13\u00c2\u00a0and Thursday, February 15, with an overtime ban also in place.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dispute was a result of the workforce rejecting a 1.5 per cent pay increase for 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However after Unite announced the strike action dates, 3M returned to the negotiating table and made a significantly improved pay offer.
