{"id":16668,"date":"2018-11-08T16:59:53","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:59:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=16668"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:57:53","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:57:53","slug":"significant-victory-health-visiting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=16668","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Significant victory&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Parents in austerity-hit Cornwall were faced with the threat of having to pay for children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s services such as health visiting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But at a crunch meeting in November, Cornwall Council decided to keep children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s services in-house, and not outsource them \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a move Unite hailed as a significant victory.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cabinet voted to adopt an option to keep children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s services in-house from April 2019.
