When the 1949 labour government was constructing the NHS to give free and accessible healthcare to all, the conservatives vehemently voted against them<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2.\u00c2\u00a0And shirked all responsibility as soon as possible\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"2<\/a><\/p>\n

In 2012 the Tories brought in the health and social care act that removed their\u00c2\u00a0duty<\/a> to provide comprehensive healthcare to citizens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. \u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>Waiting, waiting, waiting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"3<\/a><\/p>\n

Waiting times are at their highest<\/a> in six years, with 3.2m people on waiting lists, while hip and knee operations have been rationed<\/a>, forcing elderly people to pay up or go without.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>Beds are literally disappearing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"4<\/a><\/p>\n

NHS wards have inexplicably lost 23,000 overnight beds<\/a> in the last four years…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5. <\/strong>Cancer treatment has been downgraded<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"5.<\/a><\/p>\n

Since they took power, the Tories have reduced spending on cancer <\/a>and breached a waiting times target for the first time since its introduction in 2009. Meanwhile, 360,000 more women are overdue a cervical cancer screening<\/a>, compared to three years ago.<\/p>\n

6.\u00c2\u00a0Services are starved of cash<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"6<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00c2\u014120 billion has been cut <\/a>from the NHS by the coalition, under the premise of \u00e2\u20ac\u015befficiency savings\u00e2\u20ac\u0165. Underfunding means that services like GP\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s are failing, with predictions that next year 50m people will be turned away from GP surgeries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0Jobs aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t safe<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"7<\/a><\/p>\n

4,000 senior nurses have been axed<\/a> under the Tories in a vicious bid to save money.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

8.\u00c2\u00a0Standards are slipping<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"8<\/a><\/p>\n

Record numbers of people are using NHS A&E departments<\/a> and the service is increasingly failing to meet their target of seeing patients within four hours.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

9.\u00c2\u00a0Profit before patients<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"9<\/a><\/p>\n

In just three years \u00c2\u01417bn of new NHS contracts have been put out to private bidders, and this is set to rise to \u00c2\u014120bn in the next few years. Unsurprising though, when you consider 62 Tory MPs and 63 Tory Lords have links to private healthcare companies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

10.\u00c2\u00a0We will have to say goodbye to universal healthcare<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"10<\/a><\/p>\n

At this rate the NHS will buckle under the financial pressure and is predicted to run out of money<\/a> by 2015\/2016. Under the Tories, the NHS as we know it will be lost\u00c2\u00a0forever.<\/p>\n
