{"id":17901,"date":"2019-04-25T16:43:55","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T15:43:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=17901"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:56:49","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:56:49","slug":"heathrow-strike-suspended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=17901","title":{"rendered":"Heathrow strike suspended"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Baggage handlers and check-in staff employed by GH London (formally Azzurra) at Heathrow airport have suspended strike action, due to have started tomorrow (Friday 26 April), to vote on a new pay offer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over 300 workers at Heathrow\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Terminals 2 and 4 will be balloted next week on the new offer, following talks between Unite and the company under the auspices of the conciliation service, Acas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ballot result will be known in the middle of May. Details of the offer are not being revealed until members have an opportunity to consider the pay package.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Hall Unite regional officer representing the workers at Heathrow said today (April 25), \u00e2\u20ac\u015bFollowing a new offer from the company, our members will be balloted on the deal next week.
