{"id":19030,"date":"2019-09-24T12:59:23","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T11:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=19030"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:55:10","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:55:10","slug":"steve-turner-climate-change-labour-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=19030","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Climate change is a class issue&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Unite assistant general secretary Steve Turner highlighted the importance of tackling climate change, and the need to see it as a class issue, on the penultimate day of the Labour Party Conference on Tuesday (September 24).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in support of two composites, he told conference that the labour movement recognises that \u00e2\u20ac\u015bclimate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the future of humanity\u00e2\u20ac\u0165.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bWe also recognise that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s about us,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 he added. \u00e2\u20ac\u015bAbout the here and now. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not just a fight for our kids, as proud as we are of them leading the charge and striking for a future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bClimate change is a class issue.
