Cameron got his Tory party \u00e2\u20ac\u015bpurring\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 with his speech to the faithful this month. But when he said \u00e2\u20ac\u201c supposedly a \u00e2\u20ac\u015bslip of the tongue\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that he \u00e2\u20ac\u015bresented\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 the poor, he meant it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The hundreds of thousands who will come from all corners to march for a better Britain, know it too. We know he imposed the bedroom tax, hounds the disabled, presides over a cost of living crash the likes of which not seen since Queen Victoria was a girl, is destroying workers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 rights, selling off our NHS and turning housing into a privilege.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And we know that if the Tory party swindles its way to power in 2015 it will be on the back of a \u00c2\u01417.2bn bribe to buy the votes of the better off \u00e2\u20ac\u201c money swiped from hard grafting, decent people juggling jobs to make ends meet.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Shop workers, street cleaners, security staff, transport workers, teaching assistants, NHS porters and carers – they will all be hit by a \u00c2\u0141500 cut to reward top earners. This is on top of the news that wages will not recover their pre-crash value for years to come.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tsunami<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cameron\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s answer to austerity pain is to cause more \u00e2\u20ac\u201c slashing \u00c2\u014142bn from public services unleashing an austerity tsunami, burying our welfare state once and for all. Those jobs and services that provide school clubs, meals on wheels, care for the elderly \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll all be at risk.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And pray you or your loved ones don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t become sick on Cameron\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s watch, because our NHS, already underfunded by \u00c2\u014120bn, will not survive five more years\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of Tory sell-offs and cuts.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Reheating \u00e2\u20ac\u015bcompassionate\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 Conservatism is an insult. This ludicrous concept was long ago trodden underfoot by the millions \u00e2\u20ac\u201c mostly working people \u00e2\u20ac\u201c forced to food banks to feed their children.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

People are working harder, yet getting poorer. But when corporations flout their tax dues and go unpunished, small wonder they doubt that government is ever on their side.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not give up hope. Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s remember that it was our forefathers and mothers who fought for \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and delivered \u00e2\u20ac\u201c progress in this country.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was they who paid for, built and delivered our schools, hospitals and houses, creating the decent jobs and the fairer society now placed in jeopardy by this miserable government.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When we march today we honour our people\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s achievements, carrying their torch for future generations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So yes, Britain needs a pay rise but we cannot stop there. For our kids, our communities, our sick and our hopes, more than ever it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a new government we need.<\/p>\n
