{"id":20036,"date":"2020-02-27T15:50:53","date_gmt":"2020-02-27T15:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=20036"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:54:30","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:54:30","slug":"heathrow-third-runway-risk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=20036","title":{"rendered":"Heathrow third runway at risk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Unite, which represents thousands of workers at Heathrow airport and throughout the airline industry, is urging the government to take immediate action to ensure that the planned construction of a third runway at Heathrow goes ahead, while ensuring the environment is fully protected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unite made its call after the\u00c2\u00a0appeal court ruled today (February 27) that the proposed development should not proceed in its present form.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unite assistant general secretary Diana Holland said, \u00e2\u20ac\u015bHundreds of thousands of jobs are at risk if the government does not take immediate action to ensure that Heathrow expansion goes ahead.
