{"id":20059,"date":"2020-03-02T16:44:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T16:44:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=20059"},"modified":"2020-11-12T12:44:31","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T12:44:31","slug":"harrods-pay-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=20059","title":{"rendered":"Harrods pay win"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>A dispute over pay and other issues at the iconic Harrods\u00c2\u00a0store in\u00c2\u00a0London\u00c2\u00a0has been brought to an end after security officers and CCTV operators voted in favour of an\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0098excellent\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00c2\u00a0deal from the company.<\/p>\n<p>Unite members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the deal \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the details of which Harrods has required to remain confidential \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that will see many workers receive\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0098significant\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00c2\u00a0wage increases.<\/p>\n<p>The deal ensures pay parity between security staff and any future pay deals will be consistently applied across the board.<\/p>\n<p>The now settled dispute began after Harrods&#8217; management imposed a below inflation pay increase on staff rather than return to the negotiating table, after the workforce overwhelmingly rejected the initial pay offer, in a consultative ballot.<\/p>\n<p>The workers also disagreed with having\u00c2\u00a0to undertake an additional unpaid \u00e2\u20ac\u0098training day\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 every eight weeks.
