{"id":24331,"date":"2020-10-21T10:34:06","date_gmt":"2020-10-21T09:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=24331"},"modified":"2020-10-21T14:22:22","modified_gmt":"2020-10-21T13:22:22","slug":"truly-inspirational","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=24331","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Truly inspirational&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Unite has endorsed the nomination of a team of Cuban medics &#8211; known as the Henry Reeve Brigade &#8211; for the Nobel Peace Prize this year for their work in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Henry Reeve Brigade was established in 2005 in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and comprises a team of thousands of Cuban doctors, nurses and technicians who help countries hit by natural disasters or pandemics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, their team of nearly 4,000 medics have volunteered alongside health workers in 39 countries across the world to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video below, Unite general secretary Len McCluskey explains why Unite is supporting the nomination of the Henry Reeve Brigade for the Nobel Peace Prize.
