{"id":2517,"date":"2014-12-17T14:59:44","date_gmt":"2014-12-17T14:59:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=2517"},"modified":"2014-12-17T14:59:44","modified_gmt":"2014-12-17T14:59:44","slug":"divisive-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=2517","title":{"rendered":"Divisive offer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Unite\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s members working for the airport ground and cargo handling company dnata have been faced with a pay offer that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s significantly less than their supervisors, which, they say, will create a workforce of \u00e2\u20ac\u015bhaves\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 and \u00e2\u20ac\u015bhave nots.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nA resounding majority of 83 per cent of members, working across Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester airports, backed strike action, to begin on Tuesday (December 23) if management continues in its refusal to go to Acas and negotiate sensibly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe offer, which has supervisors receiving a 4.5 per cent pay rise, while other staff receive only a 2.25 per cent rise has angered dnata\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s workers, who are instrumental in keeping the country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s airports running smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nUnite has over 460 members working for the cargo and ground handling company, with the majority working at Heathrow airport.
