{"id":2609,"date":"2015-01-06T14:16:42","date_gmt":"2015-01-06T14:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=2609"},"modified":"2015-01-06T14:16:42","modified_gmt":"2015-01-06T14:16:42","slug":"ferry-strike-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=2609","title":{"rendered":"Ferry strike vote"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Unite is today (January 6) calling on the operator of the Woolwich Free Ferry Service, Briggs Marine to get around the negotiating table to avoid major disruption to users of the popular Thames river crossing, as a strike ballot of ferry workers opens.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Around 27 ferry workers, including the ship\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s crew, electricians and road traffic teams are being balloted for strike action over pay disparities, the use of agency staff and operator Briggs Marine\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s misinterpretation of its sick pay policy.
