Hands grasped. Fingers entwined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clinging tightly. A ready caress on recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For those leaving there is a hint of sadness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eyes betray a look of weariness. An absence of elation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the window alongside the train children ran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ubiquitous trainers, skinny jeans. Innocent. Joyous emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Blowing kisses and waving. Even strangers smile. Wake up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Misplaced nostalgia? A product of my imagination?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Platforms blocked. Passengers corralled. Hands crack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sore and raw with the obligatory sanitisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A smile, masked with a patterned face covering. Heads down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eyes averted. Overwhelmed by a sense of alienation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For today and tomorrow &#8211; hands pressed on the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reach out.
