{"id":2902,"date":"2015-01-30T14:44:52","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T14:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/?p=2902"},"modified":"2015-01-30T14:44:52","modified_gmt":"2015-01-30T14:44:52","slug":"strike-averted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unitelive.test.igniteamt.com\/?p=2902","title":{"rendered":"Strike averted"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>A strike was averted after Woolwich ferry workers secured a new deal yesterday (January 29), convincing operator Marine Briggs to abandon threats to long-standing agreements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/unitelive.org\/100-per-cent\/\">UNITElive reported earlier<\/a>, the ferry workers, which included 26 Unite members working as electricians, crew and road traffic teams, unanimously voted in favour of strike action after management threated to reinterpret sick pay policy.
