\nThese words are also the Tories\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 favourite mantra \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a sinister phrase first coined by chancellor George Osborne in his call for another five years of austerity that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ravaged the nation.<\/p>\n

 
\nTo finish the job, McCluskey argued, would entail the end of every institution we hold dear.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bIt would mean in another five years, our NHS would be gone; social security \u00e2\u20ac\u201c gone, workers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 rights \u00e2\u20ac\u201c gone, housing \u00e2\u20ac\u201c join the never-ending queue. Decent jobs \u00e2\u20ac\u201c who are you kidding?\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\nSpeaking at a Unions Together rally yesterday evening (April 27), McCluskey called on voters to take a stand as working people by voting for the only party that represents them \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Labour.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bOur nation stands on the brink of change,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 McCluskey said. \u00e2\u20ac\u015bIn 10 days the people will cast their vote. They will pass their judgement on the last five years of Tory Coalition, on the Labour party and on Ed Miliband \u00e2\u20ac\u201c as our leader \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and our next prime minister.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bIt is their votes that will decide the path our country follows,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 he added. \u00e2\u20ac\u015bAnd make no mistake these paths are set poles apart. The 2015 general election offers two distinct visions. Tory fear versus Labour hope.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\nIndeed, the party\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s respective visions for the country could not be any more different.<\/p>\n

 
\nCynical<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

 
\nRead between the lines of the Tory manifesto and Cameron\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cynical view of the British people emerges \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a welfare system that punishes the most vulnerable, a health service that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s poised to become nothing more than a profit-making machine, and a tax policy that will only further widen the cavernous gap between the mega-rich and the rest of us.<\/p>\n

 
\nIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s what prompted McCluskey to say that the Tory party\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s campaign \u00e2\u20ac\u015bhas nothing to offer working people.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bOver five years in government they have sought to wreak division,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 he said. \u00e2\u20ac\u015bPitting public sector against private, the disabled against the able-bodied, and don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t forget those anti-immigrant \u00e2\u20ac\u0098Go Home\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 ad-vans driving round some of the most diverse parts of our capital city.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bThe Tory election machine churns out fear and division.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\nMcCluskey contrasted this machine to Labour\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s plan \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a vision undergirded by a philosophy of hope.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bLabour is on our side fighting to hang onto what generations have toiled for \u00e2\u20ac\u201c our schools, hospitals, homes, our communities,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 he said.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bThe Tory party may have the millions, but it is Labour that has the millions of people.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bWhen Labour talks the language of working people, when it speaks to their hopes and dreams, when it voices their worries and concerns, that is when Labour is at its best!\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\nAnd Labour is better now than ever, with much bolder policies that go to the very heart of the crisis facing millions of working people up and down the country over the last five years.<\/p>\n

 
\nThese policies, including repealing anti-union laws, freezing energy prices, clamping down on zero hours contracts and tackling tax avoidance, reveal a party that aims to elevate working people and to create an equal, more just and above all, more hopeful society.<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bEd Miliband and the Labour party have put hope back on the agenda,\u00e2\u20ac\u0165 McCluskey said. \u00e2\u20ac\u015bNow we have 10 days to tell as many people as we can.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n

 
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u015bTo win people to our cause, to enthuse the change our country needs. To say loud and clear: reject fear, embrace hope, and vote for change.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n
