You can follow proceedings at #TUC15.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The TUC says that economic growth might be back but\u00c2\u00a0millions of workers have seen the worst\u00c2\u00a0decline in real wages since Victorian\u00c2\u00a0times.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The government looks increasingly\u00c2\u00a0out of touch with the concerns of\u00c2\u00a0ordinary people, ignoring the damage to\u00c2\u00a0the economy too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is against this backdrop that the trade\u00c2\u00a0union movement will be\u00c2\u00a0debating, discussing and deciding how it can take action and organise to defend the\u00c2\u00a0people it represents and set out a vision\u00c2\u00a0for a better way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unite will be playing its part in full and will be moving three motions on productivity, stopping the trade union bill and pay and collective bargaining.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before the conference started Len McCluskey told Unite delegates the conference had to send out a message of hope, and determination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Confidence \u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most important that people don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get depressed. There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s now a mood of change and that we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t just have to accept the way things are. Our message has to be one of confidence and our role has got to be about giving confidence to working people.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u015bThis year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s TUC conference is about giving clear leadership to our communities.\u00e2\u20ac\u0165<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more on the conference stay tuned to Unite Live.
