Unions and PRH continue talks
Amanda Campbell, Thursday, December 22nd, 2016

Following talks with trade unions Unite and NUJ, Penguin Random House (PRH), the world’s biggest publisher has resumed negotiations about the firm’s new collective agreement.

A meeting early on Wednesday morning (December 21) had been “positive”, according to a joint statement issued by PRH and the unions Unite and the National Union of Journalists.

The statement said, “Penguin Random House UK, Unite and the NUJ held a positive meeting today at which all parties agreed to continue talks with the aim of securing a new collective agreement for the combined Penguin Random House UK business.

“While some elements of the agreement in discussion are yet to be finalised and agreed upon, we are pleased to be working together to resolve these final points and come to a mutually acceptable position.”
