Keep our families fed

Unite Community members were joined by Labour MPs last week for a Universal Credit demonstration outside Parliament. Together they sent a loud and clear message to the government to cancel the ÂŁ20 a week cut to Universal Credit which threatens to decimate millions of people’s living standards at a time of unprecedented crisis amid the pandemic and soaring living costs.

If the cut goes through as planned next month, more than 6m households will lose over ÂŁ1000 a year, while hundreds of thousands of children would be plunged into poverty.
