Deeds not words

On International Women’s Day (March 8) women took to the streets around London Bridge, many in suffragette costume, to highlight the importance of women registering to vote.

Participants and speakers include Emmeline Pankhurst’s granddaughter Helen and great granddaughter Laura, who at 19 is a first time voter; Made in Dagenham star Gemma Arterton, BBC Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney and songsmith Annie Lennox.
