Fighting back

Unite hosted a press conference for the People’s Assembly to highlight the anti austerity demonstration being held on June 20. You can watch the full press conference below:

Unite assistant general secretary Steve Turner explained why our union is supporting this demonstration. We also heard from newly elected MP for York Central Rachael Maskell, singer Charlotte Church and deputy leader of the Green Party Amelia Womack why it is important to fight back against these dreadful cuts in the name of austerity and expose the lie that there is nothing we can do about it.

The march and demonstration on the 20 June is looking like being one of the biggest this country has seen for years.
