Immigration, what’s the story?

Tomorrow (Thursday October 22) Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is holding a special preview screening of their film – Immigration, what’s the story?

The film features people discussing their own journeys and experiences of living and working in the UK supported by testimonies from professional footballers and celebrities including Gary Lineker, Jermain Defoe and Eniola Aluko.

The special screening at Mabledon Place, London, WC1H 9BD at 17.00 tomorrow will be attended by Unite general secretary Len McCluskey.

“We firmly believe that negative attitudes towards people are being shaped by the current political debate surrounding immigration and in particular the media’s coverage of the issue,” said Geb Grebby, Show Racism the Red Card chief executive.

“We believe that this will be an effective resource which will change perceptions of those people seeking to come to the UK and look at the social and economic benefits to the country as a whole,” he added.
