Following the unfurling of the #SportsDirectShame banner at the Newcastle United versus Manchester United football match last night (January 12) Unite Community members continued to campaign for fairness at Sports Direct.

“Last night’s action was the culmination of months of co-operation between Unite Community activists and NUFC supporter groups with the common aim of stopping exploitation of the fans at Newcastle and workers at Sports Direct,” reports Unite Community co-ordinator, John Coan.

But today (January 13) intrepid Unite Community members were out and about unfurling the banner around Newcastle city centre.

“The Banner drops today are part of our continuing #SportsDirectShame campaign between Unite Community and NCFC supporter groups which has garnered widespread support across the city,” added Coan.
