Universal Credit ‘should be safety net people rely on’

Ahead of Unite Community’s national online #UniversalDisCredit day of action on Wednesday (July 15), we are calling for an end to the most punitive measures of the Universal Credit system including the five-week wait period for the first payment and benefits sanctions.
